Wall & Wrenn is a startup clothing company featuring high-end mens cotton shirts sold exclusively online. Originally under the name Cotó, the new brand had to rename in order to trademark.
The ask was to establish the new brand identity including logo design, packaging, and website design as the focus.
After establishing the brand values and voice with the client as modern, timeless, sincere, crafted, trusted, and high-end, research was conducted to identify further who the target customer is and what is important to them.
“This customer is a hardworking millennial man who has large career aspirations. Effort goes into appearing professional and impressive with his clothing. He enjoys going out to trendy bars and restaurants, as well as the latest technology. He’s conscientious about his friends’ and colleagues’ opinion of him and maintains these connections over platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram.”
Several rounds of logos were selected, narrowed down to the final and chosen by the client. This brand mark, along with our research, influenced the color and typography choices before creating final deliverables. An interwoven element throughout is an illustrated pattern inspired by the unique knit fabric of the dress shirt. Classic elements paired with modern layouts and photography complimented the simplistic brand and allowed the products to shine.
Final brand deliverables included: printed shirt labels, packing box with tissue paper, sticker, and stationery inserts, poly mailer, e-commerce website prototype, social media guidelines with example posts, and a brand standards manual. The final identity is clean and timeless, which appeals to its professional consumers and allows for brand growth.
