Electra Magazine is an original publication inspired by and designed for females who love music.
This publication issue “Women Who Rock” features articles on iconic females within the rock music industry, with topics ranging from music, lifestyle, fashion, beauty and art. The magazine compiled two feature articles, three interviews, and a photo collection from outside sources.
The design needed to capture the edgy, rebellious, and timeless spirit of rock legends such as Debbie Harry. The bold and brash colors, textures, and geometric, serif typeface Matrix bring that fun energy to the magazine. The carefully constructed grid keeps the type and picture formatting structured in order to balance these funky elements.
The printed magazine is 44 pages on matte cover weight paper.
